Session Title: Research and Monitoring: Enhancing Linkages and Communication
Session Description: This
session is devoted to examining approaches to improve the communication and
collaboration between public monitoring agencies and academic research institutions.
Presentations are sought in three main areas: 1) Defining organizational
differences and communication gaps, 2) Innovative research projects that
enhance public resource management, and 3) Innovative monitoring programs that
enhance academic research projects. There is a specific interest in
presentations that illustrate the practical application of institutional
collaboration between academia and public resource management agencies or
decision-making bodies. A panel discussion is also planned.
