There are four main aquifers underlying the Western Lake Michigan Drainages:

  1. the Glacial Deposits aquifer,
  2. the Silurian Dolomite aquifer,
  3. the Cambrian-Ordovician aquifer, and
  4. the Basement complex aquifer
